Buddhism is not all "sunshine and flowers" like we find in popular memes. The teaching says that wrong decisions can lead to rebirth in a hell realm, as depicted at Xiangjie ("Incense or Fragrant World") Temple in Badachu Park, Beijing. These Hell Beings were part of an eclectic collection of statues in a couple of pavilions outside.
