The 47 Ronin, Sengaku-ji, Tokyo, Japan

Sengaku-ji in southern Tokyo is the burial site of the 47 Ronin. Their lord, Asano, was forced to commit seppuku after breaking protocol in Edo Castle when taunted by Lord Kira. After a long wait they avenged Asano's death. Then they, too, were sentenced to death by seppuku (also called hara-kiri).
