Carvings along Xiangyun Lu (Incense Cloud Road), joining Huiji Temple (on a peak) to Fayu Temple (at its bottom, near the sea) on Putuoshan, Zhejiang, China. The large red letters on the left are sometimes interpreted as saying "Buddhist Paradise on the Sea," carved by a Ming Dynasty general, giving the island its nickname.
