Guanyin in Bamboo Forest, Zizhu Lin, Putuo Shan, China

I found the unusually folksy painted backdrop to this Guanyin at Zizhu Lin (Purple Bamboo Forest) on Putuo Shan to be very pleasing. (Lin, by the way, is here used as a synonym for "Temple," recalling the forest-based practice traditions of Buddhism. It's a nice connection for the painted bamboo.)
