This distressed-looking statue, part of a vender's display, was resting on a wall along the trail leading up to the main gate of Dailuo Ding ("Black Conch [or Snail] Peak") on Wutai Shan, Shanxi, China. (I wish I had bought it!)
The temple features a Hall of Manjushri of Five Directions, with five statues of the Bodhisattva of Wisdom (to which the entire mountain is dedicated). Wutai means "five terraces" (each on its own peak), so there is one statue for each of the four directions, plus one for the center.
You can read more about the temple and my experiences there in an article I wrote.
