The "Buddhist Pantheon"

The so-called "Buddhist Pantheon" reflects the layout of a typical Chinese Buddhist temple: Qielan and Weituo are sometimes found in the Mountain Gate; Mi-le surrounded by the Four Heavenly Kings in the first hall; Dizang and Guanyin with attendants next (usually found on either side of the courtyard); Amituofo, Shijiamouni Fo (with attendants), and Yaoshi Fo at the top (in the Main Hall). Puxian (l) and Wenshu (r) are often found on those sides, either in a back corner or sometimes on the altar in place of the two side Buddhas. Images such as this are widely available for free in temples throughout China.
